A Blessing For You: Simplicity
A key tenet in my life going forward?
Simplicity.
What I wish for you?
Simplicity.
There is deep value found in simplicity - profound joy, contentment, peace. I think this is really what the “pursuit of happiness” is. But happiness is fleeting due to the temporal nature of emotions.
Now this simplicity I speak of is not artificial. It isn’t contrived. It isn’t quick. It isn’t easy. It is essential. It isn’t something we’ve made up or determined.
It is, instead, something we’ve come to, over time, by way of the hard work of navigating complex situations, by waiting, being still, and being curious.
It is not a rapid conclusion, creating a false dichotomy, so that you don’t have to deal with the tediousness and challenge of adversity, discomfort, and uncertainty.
This simplicity is hard-fought and hard won. It’s on the other side of the dark night and even in it.
Simplicity, friend.
Simplicity, beloved.
This simplicity comes from scars, not in spite of them.
Be not afraid is what the Voice whispers.
Follow where it leads.
You can trust it, but the learning and growth is step-wise.
It can’t be rushed.
It can’t be added to.
This simplicity is essential.
May you know your essence.
May you rest in the simplicity of your belovedness in the, often, grey world.
In this spacious simplicity, may the ordinary colors and details of this world shed their ordinariness veil and may you behold the miracle, the splendor.
May you spend your days in wonder and delight.
Simplicity is truly awesome.
May you find simplicity and call it “home.”
