45

The following is a portion of a poem I wrote this year while reflecting on my birthday.

The remainder of the poem is available to subscriber to The LYHL Newsletter.

—-

Open up, open up.

Be fully human.

It's what 45 years has taught me.

*

We need to be able to sit alone.

And we need to be able to sit together.

Co-mingled.

*

You is weird

Because you is unique.

Be not afraid.

*

Dance, laugh, cry, explore.

Take part in the miracle.

You are miracle.

*

I wonder what we can make together

when love is our siren call...

I bet wars would stop.

*

Beauty is essential.

To be named &. witnessed.

To be called forth from the void.

*

You impact me.

I impact you.

What will our impact be?

*

Nothing is promised.

Everything is a gift.

Life is precious, tread lightly.

I’d love to have you join The LYHL Community over in the newsletter. You can receive the remainder of the poem there and see prior offerings as well!
